Rev. Cindy Privette has been the pastor of Anchor of Hope and Galena Presbyterian Churches since 2003. In her "former life" she was a high school English teacher for nine years. Cindy comes from a family of ministers. Her grandfather and father both were ministers of Baptist Churches in North Carolina. She received her Bachelor and Master of Education Degrees at University of Louisville and her Master of Divinity degree at Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond. Cindy has three grown children, Travis in Missoula, Montana and Dallas, Harlingen, Texas and Tara in Alpine, Texas. She is married to Rob Davis. Together, they reside in Max Meadows with a white pyrenees named Crystal and a beagle named Mack.
Jane Davis, our organist and pianist, ministers to us with music every week and is also a PK (Preacher's Kid!). Jane recently retired from the Wythe County school system as a middle school teacher. Jane's music, whether it be on the pump organ or the piano, inspires us to Christian service and witness. She is married to a retired Navy officer who serves two churches also in the Presbytery.
